Water Lily

Had to use my compact digital for this. Love the ability to shoot anywhere.

The Opening

Crocus

The first sign of spring usually popping through the melting snow on the grass. It always makes you smile and gives you hope.

Magical Pink

Sign of Spring

The Dallas arboretum has a spring tulip show that is excellent for checking our new colors and varieties of tulips.

Pretty in Fuscia

One Last visit on route home

Taken with my Galaxy Note 5 as this butterfly was en-route to his winter home- migration

Internal Beauty

This is the last in a series of water lilies that were blooming in our local parks around Austin Texas.

An Ant's Life

Light Catcher

Wisteria

Wisteria plants act like grapewine plants that they cling and grow along trellis , walls and ceilings. When they bloom they are so colorful and pungent in a nice way. This was against a stucco wall in west Texas.

Flowering Crape Myrtle Tree

Crape Myrtle trees can with stand the 90+ heat and keep their bloom for most of the summer. They are a joy to look at.

Loving the Nectar

A View towards the Center

From the Center

Played with the textures on this succulent plant. The colors were exciting.

I See You

Found this little lizard sitting in the garden. He seems not to have enjoyed the photography experience. Here's looking at you, he seems to be saying.

In the Pond

Beautiful in Pink

More spring tulips taken in Holland, Kukenhof.

Pink Blossom

After the Rain

Sitting on the fence

An iris growing along a rail fence fence in a park.

Tulip

Perfect color for a spring time flower.

Hugging the Wall

bougainvillaea close-up against a stark monastery wall.

Iris

another springtime blossom

Monet's Peony

Taken at Giverny France at Clause Monet's Gardens.

Colorwheel Opposite

Laying Down on the Job

Two Winged Shapes

When this butterfly decided to light upon the red hibiscus flower, I thought his wing span reflected and mimicked the petals on the flower. It looked like part of the wing expanse.

Kay West Beauty

These flowers were found growing in a clump on a bush on Pine Street in Key West Florida. I believe it is called a Frangipani flower.

Butterfly Orchid

In the Discovery Gardens in Key West Florida, the orchids were thriving along with the buterflies This one reminded me of the wings on a butterfly.

After the Rain

In Key West Florida in June, there was rain every afternoon, sometimes quite heavy. If you went out immediately after, the water droplets were a treat to see.

From the English Garden

Chenin Manor outside of London has beautiful gardens. It formerly was the home of the Duke of Bedford.

Gathering Pollen

Another flower from Chenie Manor, the Duke of Bedford's burial site. every plant in the garden is to promote bee pollination and increase the number of hives..
